"Our Summit Racing Pontiac worked well today, although we could have been a little better with the tune-up on our engines," said Anderson. "Fortunately, we're not that far off, and we've certainly been in worse shape heading into Sunday. Our cars are making good runs, we just need to find a little extra performance and stop dragging the anchor."

Last week Top Fuel dragbike legend, Larry “Spiderman” McBride received the kind of news a racer never wants to receive. The organization he had competed in for over 20 years, AMA Dragbike, has ceased operations.

It was a busy Saturday night for the teams of Tony Stewart Racing. The World of Outlaws Sprints were at North Central Speedway in Brainerd, MN while the World of Outlaws Late Model Series was at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN. To add a little more excitement, Stewart-Haas Racing was at Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero 400.
